Capricorn Doesn't Blink…

Saturn is the planet that is all about responsibility, discipline, and duty. This planet pushes getting aligned with the right stuff - moving forward no matter what, growing, climbing, and making things happen in your life. It stabilizes you with tradition and wisdom, keeping you organized and focused. It doesn't hesitate to lead, govern, or exercise authority. Saturn rules the zodiac sign of Capricorn. Some folks born under this sign include: Michelle Obama, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Elvis Presley, Muhammad Ali, Stan Lee, Stephen Hawking, Ellen Degeneres, and David Bowie.

Pluto is the planet that drops dramatic life-altering ordeals into your life. This planet is the ruler of Scorpio. It has many secrets and lots of power. Kind of like the Godfather, the effect of Pluto going direct today (October 3, 2019) sets us up for hidden things to be revealed, reputations to be ruined, and hopeless causes to be revived. Transformation comes with rebirth, the release of the butterfly from the chrysalis. That caterpillar went through weeks of terror before seeing the Sun again, terrorized, not knowing what was happening and that it would eventually be something completely different - something beautiful. A creature that can fly! Some folks born under this sign include: Pablo Picasso, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates, Whoopi Goldberg, Charles Manson, Neil Young, RuPaul, Teddy Roosevelt, and Robert Kennedy.

So both of these planets are in Capricorn right now. They were retrograde all Summer so things were not moving forward in your career, in your relationships, or even in your life. Now, all hell is breaking loose. The term "Plutocalypse" has been used with all seriousness. Things are going to continue to be caterpillar/chrysalis terror situations for a while. We cannot know what is going to happen when this all comes to a head in January, 2020, but from now till then, keep the popcorn handy for watching the news. This is going to be a drama the likes of which you won't see again in this lifetime. Expect all things in government, finance, and sex slave trafficking to be dragged up into the Light of Day and exposed for what they are.

Things are going to get really ugly - like a body decaying in the casket. But come Spring, there will be beautiful flowers popping up and fresh air to breathe. This time of adjustment is serious and it is on target. Saturn is the Lord of Karma, and he will not be denied. Pluto is the Lord of the Underworld. He doesn't fool around. Neither of these planets will pull their punches.

Scorpio Season Runs October 24
through November 20

You don't have to be afraid of scorpions or Scorpios. You just have to know how to protect yourself. Yes the rumors are true. All the stories you have heard are based in fact. But if you can handle yourself well, you can enjoy the most intense, deep, passionate love ever shared. This is not for the faint of heart. This is for those who enjoy sharing their soul. This sort of love only happens once in a lifetime. If you are blessed to have it and if you treasure and honor it, you may be able to keep it.

Scorpios are PSYCHIC. They invented psychic. They get more and more psychic as they age. Young Scorpios are impulsive and will sting you, then hate you, then vaporize you. You won't exist in their world. Don't underestimate their intuition. Ever.

Should a Scorpio love you, they will not see your flaws. Unless you make the mistake of trying to control them. This, my friend. would be a bad idea. Their levels of intelligence and canniness are so far beyond the curve that you simply need to tell them the truth and stand back while they decide what they will do and whom will have to bleed or die. Find something fun to do with all the time you never waste arguing with a Scorpio.

This sign is ruled by Pluto, god of the Underworld, intensely powerful master of secrets, sex, and riches. While your Scorpio will be way ahead of you in many ways, find a way to tantalize them with bits of information without revealing the mystery. They love mysteries! If you can actually deliver a surprise, your Scorpio will respond joyously and want more and more of you. You'll know that you've hooked your Scorpio with their possessiveness begins. This is the seed of their love. Sex with a Scorpio is the best of any sign in the zodiac. They are intuitive, talented, and intense in the bedroom. Their vivid imaginations come into full play in their sexuality. You will enjoy that.

Scorpios don't tolerate fools gladly. If they chose you, then you're golden for as long as they continue to choose you. They are intensely loyal - until you betray them. And…then you're done. You will not find forgiveness in your Scorpio's skill set. They are not only unforgiving, they exact ruthless revenge, and this is usually done while they are in the paroxysms of rage and devastation. You do not want to go here. Ever. Support your Scorpio with reassurance and reminders of their awesomeness.

They are fully capable of taking care of themselves. If a Scorpio has allowed you into their life, then they perceive you to be a peer. You can't be equal to them, but you're close enough that they think you're perfect. Do not disabuse them of that notion. They don't need you. They are independent, ambitious, fearless, and resourceful.

If you come to a point where you want to say goodbye to your Scorpio, be honest, be up front, tell them the truth before they figure it out. Then, before you find someone new, get away. Get far enough away that they can't drive by your new place without crossing a state line. Just saying. Scorpios are powerful lovers, and, likewise, fearsome enemies. Better to break things off using all the honor you have in you. Discretion is the better part of valor. Take the blame. Give them their fair share. Have your exit strategy ready and don't dawdle.

Samhain Doesn't Have to Be About Sugar

Samhain sings the song of the end of life as the gardens are harvested and the hunt begins. This natural rhythm of life comes just before the Terror Time of Winter, when there is no food for the animals or people, and folks used to die in the killing frosts. The awareness of death is upon us. If you are grieving, Samhain (pronounced SOW-win) brings a chance to commune with lost loved ones and release your fears. Here are nine fun ways you can do more than tricks and treats and benefit by this sacred time before the holidays begin.

1. Samhain Nature Walk. Enjoy a contemplative walk in a nature. Open your sensory awareness to the sensations of the season. Look for evidence of the turning of the Wheel of the Year and know you are a part of that turning. Bring home some treasures from your walk and display them in your home.
2. Seasonal Decorations. Honor the Wheel of the Year with an an Autumn wreath on your front door. Add pumpkins, brooms, bats, and cauldrons, as you are inclined. Put out a bowl of nuts. Showcase apples in a pretty basket.
3. Honor Your Ancestors. Display photographs, heirlooms, and treasures inherited from family or friends. Include a candle in your arrangement. Tell the stories of the people and the treasures. They live in the legacy of your memories that you share with others. Every story you tell about them sends your attention and energy to them on the astral plane. It's like sending them cash. This is the very best way to repay those who helped you get to where you are. After all, without their lives and triumphs, you wouldn't exist! Proudly share their stories all year round.
4. Host a Samhain Supper. Set places for the dearly departed you will be honoring. If there are many, you can set up photos on a buffet with a tiny plate in front of each. Cook the favorite foods of those you knew, but give every ancestor a tiny bit of whatever is served. Say grace and mention every one of their names. Toast them with wine. Share their stories. Wear things of theirs if you have them. If you can do it, come to dinner acting as if you are one of your ancestors. After the meal, pour some wine out at the base of a living tree.
5. Collect some new stories about your ancestors. Contact relatives and ask them to share memories of departed family members. Audio record your conversations. Write them out for future generations. Save them in photo albums or time capsules.
6. Go to the graveyard. Spiff up the resting places of your dearly departed. Take ecofriendly cleaning supplies and leave nothing behind but your footsteps and some flowers. Sit a bit before you leave and have a chat as if they were there. Ask for a sign of their presence and stay aware afterwards.
7. Look back over your journal, calendar, or personal planner. Consider how far you've come in the first 300 days of the year and be proud of yourself.
8. Transform part of your environment. Bring in seasonal decorations or pots of seasonal color. Wash the front windows and sweep your porch. Get a new corn straw broom. Burn the old broom in the bonfire activity listed next.
9. Samhain is a fire festival. Collect sticks and branches from your street. If there are none, purchase some kindling. Take out the cooking grates and set a fire to burn in your barbeque pit. Saw your old corn straw broom into three pieces. Add them to the blaze once it gets going. Gaze deep into the flames and imagine that you see yourself taking the actions you've been hesitating on. See yourself succeed and celebrate!

The Reed Moon is the twelfth moon of the Celtic year and it resonates with the energies of Heart(h) and Home, Family and Roots. The Wheel of the Year turns again, this time towards honoring our roots, which are found below ground.

Now we return to our roots for the holidays. We shape shift back to who we are inside, returning to our familial connections as a child in our hearts. This is the time to accept where we come from, our heritage, and trust that our destiny will unfold as we desire.

Drama Free Holiday Gatherings!

The holiday season is coming fast. Your family is coming to your place this year. If you want things to unfold better than they did last year, it is time to look at your Feng Shui for Family Support so you can diffuse the drama bombs before they detonate.

To invite folks into the living spaces, you want to have a place for everyone to be. If there is no room for them, they will go elsewhere. It’s not the number of chairs so much as it is the welcome. Feng Shui is all about attractive energy. Here are some ideas for increasing their comfort:

• Make sure there are plenty of blankets for wrapping up on the couch in the evenings or the mornings.
• Have a variety of beverages, cold and hot, available. Set up a coffee station so that they can feel comfortable making coffee or tea without asking. Include mugs, coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar, sweetener, and milk or cream in the fridge, spoons, and napkins.
• Place tissues in each room, as well as a small trash receptacle.
• Provide a charging area, especially to the back center Fame gua.
• Make a small bit of space in the fridge for medication if possible.
• Have a decent selection for breakfast available for each day of their stay. Include grab and go items, as well as sit down options. Create a center location for snacks and fruit they know is there for them.
• If you have a no-shoes-in-the-house rule, provide a place for the shoes to go, a seat to make it easier to put on and remove shoes, and, extra points for providing guest slippers!

To minimize stress in your Family gua, minimize the Metal and Fire elements in the center left area of any room. If you have to have something with strong Metal energy in a Wood energy zone, folks are going to feel undermined and disempowered, so add the element in between the Metal and Wood of the Creative Cycle, which is Water. You can do this with a blue pillow, a vase of flowers, or even a mirror. If worse comes to worse, add a bowl of water if you have to and float a flower in it.

If you have a fireplace in the Family gua, Fire burns Wood. Back to the Creative Cycle. Add all the elements in between Fire and Wood: Earth, Metal, and Water. You can add a square pillow that is copper colored and piped in black. You can add art with all three elements. You can clear off a coffee table for the open flat space of Earth, add a metal tray with a vase of greenery. If your home is missing this gua, or if this area is the garage, add the same cures in every room of the house.

Look also to the Children & Creativity gua opposite of the Family gua. Every adult is someone’s child. Every child is someone’s progeny. Support the Metal and Earth energies in this gua in every room of the house.

Set furniture so that there are no confrontational set ups in front of the fireplace or television. All electronics are Fire elements, regardless of the lack of flames. Set chairs on angles and support the Green Dragon/White Tiger with a Pearl between them. Ah, the sweet relief!

Watch for poison arrows. Take them down. Cover them up. Cure them by placing plants or lamps in front of them.

The Powers of the Athamé - Sunday, 10/20 - 3:30-5:30 Central

An athamé is traditionally a masculine tool used in collaboration with the cauldron or goblet, which is its feminine counterpart. This is a tool designed to direct your personal energy. They are generally double edged, and unsharpened, shorter rather than longer, with a black handle, but you can have any athamé you choose. It is, like crystals, more likely to choose you.

This tool is used to scribe, which is creating magic by making marks which have meaning. It can scribe runes or circles of protection. Lines created by human intention, especially through steel - which has been tempered in the heat of the crucible - direct the energy of Fire to align with specific words.

If you have one, bring your athamé to the workshop and learn to:

• Consecrate your knife to the Earth/East
• Invoke St. Raphael the Archangel
• Evoke its focus into your mental clarity, inspire new ideas, and release trash thoughts
• Empower the masculine tool to pair with the feminine energy of the cauldron or goblet for manifestation
• Cast a protective circle; cut the circle in case of emergency, and unscribe the magic to close the spell

Fiery Passions...

The passions of Nature are now ablaze. What fires you up gets you going, doing, and making things happen. Where there is fire, there is a process of change.

When you live days that are simply “meh,” you build a life of mind-numbing boredom. You stagnate. Your energy wanes and drains until you die. If your biggest thrill comes in the blue light of a digital screen, you have been programmed into a mindless, rectangular-pupilled zombie. This is not an accident. This is World War III. The battleground is the Mind. Are you a warrior, a worrier, or a wasteland?

It is not easy to look away from the flickering screen, but it is a glorious relief to gaze at flames instead. Unlike the television or computer or social media, fire doesn’t tell you what to think about, or even what to think. It doesn’t tell you what to buy or eat or which team to root for. It simply dances and reaches for the sky. It might toast your marshmallow, but it won’t make people around you wish you would turn your face to them. It will make memories!

Remembering Scrying…

Scrying is the art of looking into a reflective surface, such as glass, water, a mirror, or a crystal, to gain mystical insight. You may wish to perform scrying or gazing to learn more about something which happened in the past, is happening now, or is even due to unfold in the future.

Everyone has the ability to scry, and with just a bit of practice, you’ll discover it’s a valuable tool and find many ways to use it. You’ll also discover that you can scry with almost anything into which you can gaze, such as the canopy of a tree, the deep blue sky, or the sparkling surface of the water. NOTE: Should you find yourself dropping too easily into a trance-like state when doing repetitive tasks which allow your mind to wander, avoid doing any such tasks which might be hazardous to your body whenever tired or bored.

Selecting Your Scrying Tool

I recommend that you experiment with all sorts of scrying tools to discover which works best for you in differing situations. You may prefer a crystal ball for seeking information about the now, the black mirror for the past, and the mist for the future. You may ally well with fire for actions but want water for emotions. You will know what you like best and for what, but only after you have tried them yourself.

Crystal balls are made of many elements, such as glass, lead crystal, or quartz. They may have bubbles, flaws, or occlusions. As long as you can gaze into the depths of the sphere, any such ball will work, including marbles, though, like a cell phone, you may prefer something with a larger screen.

Black mirrors are created to replace obsidian mirrors of old. They should be as simple as possible to minimize distraction by their decor. Black bowls or cauldrons of water serve the same purpose. Again, the size of the surface will depend on your preference. The blackness simply maximizes the dreaminess of your scrying experience.

Pools of water, especially those fed by springs, are especially favored for divination as all water is entangled. Spring water always “seeks the light” and will deliver innate wisdom in its messages. Wild water is best, such as rivers, lakes or the ocean, but a swimming pool or even a puddle will work.

Silver mirrors can also be used, as can a reflective surface on a car, window glass, or even a the glass of a door. There is a depth of field in the vision which allows images to form in the reflection. Play with them all. Choose what you find works best.

Mist is a fascinating scrying tool. Fog, whether in the air or on the water, will reveal images dancing in its folds. Clouds in the sky have been read since ancient days by Druids and those who came before them.

Fire is the most hypnotic scrying tool. Whether you use a tiny candle, your home’s fireplace, or a bonfire outdoors, the flames can never stop moving. The salamanders who dance within are more likely to share secrets with you when you bring your respectful offering of more tinder to feed the flames, so never approach fire scrying empty-handed. For candles, anoint the candle with essential oil before you begin. For gas fireplaces, burn incense - especially Amber, Dragon’s Blood, or Frankincense - so the smoke rises up through the chimney. Bonfires get firewood.

Before You Scry

You will have the best results when you can close out distractions and enter into a contemplative state of mind. You will learn what best suits you, but here are some suggestions to get you started.

Select a time and place when you will not be disturbed or distracted. Turn off electronic devices. Technology channels energy which you will need to dim, thus turn off most or all lights. Proceed by candlelight or starlight when possible. You need to work with the living light projected by your mind and heart, not by electric light.

Raise your light shields of protection before you drop into your meditative state. Depending on what you’re looking for or into, you may want to scribe a circle of protection and work from within it. If it is imperative that the person you’re looking in on be unaware of your visit, then you must also inscribe a star and work from within the heart of that pentagram.

Place your scrying tool on a dark piece of fabric. The less decoration on that fabric, the better. Black velvet, linen, cotton or silk are preferred. Reserve the fabric you choose to use only when scrying.

Depending on how deeply you intend to gaze, you will decide whether or not to alter your state of consciousness with wine, herbs, or other mind altering means. A lighter alteration can be achieved via the dim lighting, lit incense and candles, and playing Baroque or New Age music to take you to your right brain.

Depending on where you are when you are doing this, it is recommended that you put your body into a position from which it cannot fall or otherwise be hurt, should you go deeply into a trance state. Stay back from a bonfire, keeping hair and clothing out of range for popping sparks. You’ll know if you are likely to drop out of control, so protect yourself as you proceed. Once your body is protected and your mind is relaxed, you are ready to get started.

Address or hold whichever tool you are using and consciously send your awareness of it as you absorb its conscious awareness of you. The smaller chakras in your hands will send impulses from your heart through your arms. Your mind will energize by its vibratory frequencies. If you are using something larger than you can hold, simply hold your hands palms out towards the item and project the energy out to that tool. If you are using something small enough, hold the tool to energize it. This exchange of energy strengthens your awareness and entangles your energies.

I have been where you are and found the path to the other side. I will show you how to get here and I will walk with you every step of the way. Furthermore, I'll provide the tips, techniques, and tricks that will keep you sane and empower you to transform everything.

We meet online, Thursdays, from 7:30-9PM Central. The entire program lasts for about 6 months. There is a private Facebook group that encourages you throughout your experience, even after you have completed the training. Many choose to join us for several more sessions because the personal support is so strong and true.
